TKMB

One lesson plan that I like to use with TKMB is that of bookmarks while reading. I create book marks that students write on with questions, connections, vocabulary, similes, metaphors, and personification examples from the novel. I collect the bookmarks for a grade as well as use the bookmarks for discussion as we read the novel. The discussion is much richer compared to just reading the novel. The bookmarks are similar to stickie notes, but allow for more detailed instructions of what I am looking for in good writing.
